This rare vintage set of “three wise monkeys” is hand carved of solid wood and each one is 6” H x 2 1/2” W x 2 1/2” D. The monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, seeing no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, hearing no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, speaking no evil. These are perfect to add to a vignette, displayed as a focal point on a shelf or sitting in an office or desk area.
All three pieces are incredibly detailed in their wood cuts and are in pristine vintage condition. They have only been treated with lemon oil to bring out the natural color and beauty of the wood, and no harsh chemicals were used on them. Only selling as a set of 3.
